2012

Graciela Ríos (mother of Julián Ríos) is diagnosed with breast cancer.

2016
January

The first idea of EVA is born "Professionalization of the self-exploration method of the breast".

May

Higia wins the Babson University Innovation Challenge with the concept of EVA.

June

Julian joins forces with Antonio Torres and José Lavariega. The formal development of EVA begins.

July

The first "minimum viable product" of EVA is born.

Higia hires its first collaborator: Fernando López (Director of software).

November

Higia wins the National Student Entrepreneur Award.

InvestoVC and its union of angel investors make the first external investment in Higia.

2017
January

Raymundo González (Director of Artificial Intelligence) and Martín Urtiz (Leading algorithm developer) join.

February

Higia gets first place at the Everis Awards (1 million MXN).

May

The investment fund ID345 invests in the pre-seed round of investment of Higia.

Higia becomes the first Mexican company to be awarded the Global Student Entrepreneur Award.

June

The Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto awards Higia Tech with the Presidential Medal in Technology and Entrepreneurship.

July

EVA is presented at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders of the United States in front of 8,000 people. Higia’s team is invited to give a conference at the Harvard University and MIT Innovation Laboratories.

October

Higia collaborates with AXA Insurance to test EVA with 500 women.

Higia performs the launching event of EVA in Mexico City.

2018
January

Higia adds 8 new employees to the family and moves operations to Mexico City.

February

Higia is recognized as one of the most promising companies of 2018 by Forbes Magazine.

March

The Female Founders program is executed for the first time with 60 patients with the new version of EVA.

May

Higia Tech moves to Silicon Valley for Y Combinator accelerator.
